The NCPACA has been continuously monitoring the evolving issues related to the COVID-19 situation in the US, Canada and around the world inclusive of government decisions taken in the service of community safety. Experts and all levels of government have warned or advised the community about the greater transmission risks posed by large gatherings of people.
After careful consideration of the widespread health risks posed by COVID-19, the Executive Council and Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel its 34th NCPACA Annual Convention scheduled for July 1-4, 2020 in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Please know that this decision was not taken lightly. Having the opportunity to interact with our members in person is one of our favorite times of the year. However, the widespread travel bans and state of emergencies being declared have made the logistics of traveling for our members increasingly difficult. Most importantly, the health and safety of our members is our highest priority.
Will the national convention be rescheduled to take place later this year?
No, the 2020 National Convention will not be rescheduled this year. The current plan is to hold until next year and it will be determined, and more details will be provided to members.
Will paid attendee registrations be refunded?
Yes, attendee who wishes to refund their registration fee will be refunded or we can carry forward for the next convention.
Will hotel costs be refunded?
Yes, whoever made their hotel reservations to cancel immediately.
We are grateful for the hours of preparation already invested by our convention committee, attendees, and speakers. We are also appreciative of the PICPA of Greater Chicago, who have worked tirelessly to prepare for the convention, and, more recently, to prepare for its cancellation under emergency conditions.
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we remain responsive to the changing nature of this situation, while continuing to serve our members and affiliates, and the broader community of accountants, practitioners and/or educators.
2020-2021 NCPACA Scholarship applications is cancelled.

On behalf of the National Council of Philippine American Canadian Accountants, thank you to all who attended the 33rd Annual Professional Development Convention on July 4 -6, 2019 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, The Woodlands, Texas.
The convention was indeed a great success! So many people have contributed in so many ways to run this event smoothly, with all the meetings and very interesting presentations.
The convention was made possible through the hard work of our host chapter, the Filipino American Accountants of Texas (FAATx). Delegates of the 33rd Annual Professional Development Convention returned to their respective chapters fully equipped and inspired. We thank you for making the convention such a worthwhile experience with a very good atmosphere for discussion and networking. We know you spent many months planning the event and it was worth it. You did an excellent job organizing and managing the event. Personally, I liked your selection of plenary speakers. The technical session topics were very informative and relevant to our accounting profession. We brought home with us new learning's and lasting memories as we visited the beautiful places of Texas such as NASA, Galveston, Gulf Coast of Texas, and the City of Houston. The Woodlands Waterway is amazing. We thank our sponsors for their support in both sponsoring the event and their ongoing contributions to NCPACA. It contributed a lot to our success.
